Re: Your views on this..

Erm i noticed some comments on ninja's. Please people do not insult the art of ninjustsu ryu (or the Burkha for that matter) by ever confusing them!

Furthermore ninja's only wore the all black suits for nightime operations etc most ninja's were probably dressed like ordinary people even when on assasination duties.

And jugding by the stride and gait of this bhurkha wearer i think it really is a bloke :D inside it. Personally i prefer loose islamic clothes be they for man or woman, but burkhas look a bit stupid if your the only one wearing them...... but hey it's the same for everything else too i mean i would look daft if i turn up to work in a hawian shirt and shades!

Re: Your views on this..

Except that dude in North, I've never seen a non-muslim condemning burka/niqab but I've seen it is always "muslims".

Are we that much ashamed of our culture/religion? No wonder that we've been
insulted everywhere.

Re: Your views on this..

Burka is NOT a part of our culture nor religion, it's part of the Arab culture, desert Arabs that is.

And so are denim jeans. :)

There is a a reason why you cannot wear a niqaab (face covering) during Hajj and Umrah. It has to do with restrictions of the Ihraam.

Men have to wear two unstiched clothes - that is not what they SHOULD be wearing in everyday life. They can't even fullfil the requirements of prayer with their stomach (partially) and shoulder exposed but that is a requirement of Hajj and Umrah.

Re: Your views on this..

^Nice logic njgal.

Also I've heard it's during salaat that you can't cover your face but during hajj you can.

Re: Your views on this..

hareem - there is different schools of thought on niqaab during prayer. I believe you can wear it during prayer.

So true!

Most British Non-Muslims I've come across have nothing against veil or beard.

They are very tolerant people.

It's us Asians who can't seem to tolerate a difference of opnion, and that goes for conservatives as well as liberals.

The only Non-Muslims who are against the peaceful practice of Islam are a scummy minority like the EDL/BNP.

Nobody in my family wear the veil or the black thobes but I respect and support the right of those who choose to wear it, just as I support Christmas decorations and Sikh turbans. I remember some MP wanted to ban Xmas decorations incase it offended minorities, which is nonsense because our Mosque/Dar ul-Uloom domes and minarets don't offend decent non-Muslim Brits so why should Xmas decorations offend us?...

...This is Britain not American or Europe. We in Britain are multi-cultural where we are all proud of our own religions but also respect each others. We are free to follow the fundamentals of our religions.

The good thing about this country is we can agree to disgaree yet still get along.

Re: Your views on this..

^:k:

And this is exactly why Muslims are treated like kings and queens in the world today. We're okay with a woman walking around with not more than three pieces of cloth on her body, but woe to the one who dares to cover herself! Not just her hair and her body.. but also her face, how dare she! She's ruining your image as a 'Muslim' isn't she? Muslims women aren't suppose to cover up, especially when they live in western countries. Living in a western country means you have to strip off all your clothes and forget about your own values and faith. It's all about the 'western lifestyle' now, isn't it. You won't get 'accepted' by society now, will you! POOR you. :( BREAKING NEWS: YOU WILL NEVER EVER BE ACCEPTED BY WESTERN SOCIETY! Not even if you have plastic surgery, because your backward mentality will stay there, and it's even worse than the western mentality itself. At the end of the day this woman who chooses to cover herself up will only have to answer to her Creator, not to YOU, not to the French government, not to me. So mind your own business and focus on what YOU will answer to your Creator.

Re: Your views on this..

^ DITTO! :k:

Some responses here are just urgh.

aaah :Princeali: !

i can’t, they have Bordeaux wine region, :bummer:

:k:

She just said her family was in a mosque that was suicide bombed…and this is your response?

Very sensitive :k:

No wonder there is an increasing divide between those of us who respect this, and those who don’t.

I don’t see any burqa-supporter’s / niqaab supporter’s response here to be reasonably calm or polite. Same trashy responses either way.
