Scenario: You’re an ordinary muslim (youth/elderly, no matter the age group). You have heard President Barack Obama addressing the Muslim nations in Cairo very recently. You have seen him trying to reach out to the muslims worldwide. After the speech, you read the text version of the speech and really begin to think and understand what was being conveyed to the masses by American President.
You Act: So, after the viewing and brainstorm, you opt to write a letter to the President of U.S.A. in expressing how you feel about his approach to foreign policy, all inclusive.
The gig: If you were to write to President Obama, what would you say? How would you get your point across?
I just thought it would be interesting to see what some of us might have to say to President Obama, if given the opportunity to write to the man himself. So, please draft a sample letter and share what you would say. This could possibly serve as an informal poll to see how most of us feel about the President’s outreach/technique/and policy approach.
Note: This is for all members. Both muslim and non-muslim alike, but when writing please keep in perspective the Obama speech in Cairo because your output should be based on that, which would generally reflect a muslim p.o.v. in accordance with the speech’s motif, its location, and its intended audience.
Also please make sure what you paste are your own thoughts, and if you use something from elsewhere to support your stance then a source is required. (links to other forums, or discussion portals are highly discouraged.)
Thanks as always for participating.
