hehe :blush: Title is slightly inaccurate, it should be Your typical Muslim men…

All these pictures are part of an exhibition In the Shade of the Tree running at the Brunei Gallery, London. (Visit this website for more details, or if you live in London and want to check out this exhibition). Each of these pictures was taken by Peter Sanders who is a world-renowned photographer (among his other subjects were Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and the Rolling Stones). In 1971 he was granted the rare opportunity by the Saudi govt. to take pictures of the rituals of Hajj.

So many media images of Muslim men as fearsome, frightening, or just plain mean-looking - i thought these were an interesting contrast.
