children are a blessing from Allah.., they may become a trial or a test as well. nowadays when we have more jobs than ever…there is such a high abortion rate but think about back then…when people were more poor than we can possibly visualize. what were they to do? but like responsible parents since that child is of their egg and seed they took care of it…in the best way they could.
soemtimes it is children that become inspiration, provide determination for the parents to seek a better life for not only themselves…but also their offspring
but in the end…yes abortion is a crime and i’m against it..no human has the right to decide whether another human is going to live or die..this privilidge is given to NOBODY other than Allah..and we are to keep that in mind

There is no life in womb till after 3 month of pregnancy.Allah alway mention 2 1/2 year of kids dependency on the mother.
2 years of breat feeding + 6 months in the womb.

its really pathetic, i agree with you, instead of going for abortion it is better to use pregnancy control,
one incident which i heard recently hurts me, one of my friend who already have 1 kid, his wife become pregnant and they found out it is twins, but they want only 1 and they don't want 3 kids so they went for abortion,
i asked him what will you do if it is twins again Next time..
Termination of pregnancy if done for conditions diagnosed that are incompatible with life or if the pregnancy is a risk to the mother is legal and approved by Islam .
So yes as a doctor , one can make that decision to terminate a pregnancy.

This is a very debatable issue and I don't want to get into the differnt religious views. But just to keep it simple...the sperm with its motility is life itself! No? The minute the sperm penetrates the ovum, the set of reactions that go off, the division of the genetic material leading to teh division of cells (blastomeres)....all sounds like real life to me...

But as someone asked, what if the she is pregnant because of rape
that's debatable..............on the one hand it can be argued that since it is a psychologically traumatic occurence it should be legally possible to terminate a pregnancy that culminates from rape however that isn't the case .
Rape is not grounds to terminate a pregnancy in Islam.
I do not believe in this "tab" and "ab" thing. what happens or is happening actually has been happening, who knows since when. Secondly, coming to the topic of discussion here, apart from that Allah condemns killing a being, born or to be born, one needs to probe into those specific reasons that made one doing so.. and even in that case, I would be willing to give a benefit of doubt. Not being into this thing actually, and talking on only observations, would you then pass some like verdict on safe sex (preventive measures such as birth control etc) too?
Aisha, how dare you say all things should be left to God. God has nothing to do with it. Our religion, as it once was considered, has now been hijacked by a bunch of chauvanist men. All they have to show for their faith is testosterone and short tempers. Somehow they've won you over. Is it the facial hair?
Muslim men have given themselves the right to impose their rules around the world. They've told us to murder innocent men, women and children. They've told us to destroy entire civilizations. They've told us to do stuff even Allah wouldnt condone. These men of the "highest order" can get away with deciding how the world has to be, but a Muslim woman cant decide what to do with her own body?
**My thoughts? **If you really want to leave things with God, I'd suggest you mind your own business and not worry what a Muslim woman does with her body. What she does is between her and God. Not you.
