your thoughts on Dwain Chambers

so he was banned for doping, and he made some stupid remarks about how u cant win olympics without doping.

he served his ban term, is clean from what we know, stayed within all rules and won the indoor trials. I dunno why authorities are so wishy washy and talking about changing the rules now.

fine u dont like teh guy, fine he may be a liability, but he has abided by all rules now, has qualified legally, and should be supported.

why cant he be seen as an example of a guy who screwed up, rebuilt properly and came back.

the association ppl are already giving statements to save their skins in court of publci opinion saying they did not want to select him but had to under duress because of his performance. I think its shameful for them to be making these statements.

I am completely against doping, and was happy when he was caught and slapped with a 2 year ban, he served the ban. He came back, he can nto compete in plympics, but to now try to forcibly keep him out is idiotic.

these ppl say he is a danger to teh sport, i feel that their politicking is a bigger danger.

What ill say for him is hes a courageous guy...its not easy to come back the way he has...the criticism...a lot would have walked away...cant see marion jones doing what hes done...
personally the law has been abided by so he should be free to race...i just reckon there should be life bans for this in athletics...so an athlete knows he literally might not be able to race again if testing positive...if he had recieved a life ban then this problem would never have arisen...

Re: your thoughts on Dwain Chambers

NBN- its just shameful to see the sports bodies and their officers act in such immature manner, they made the rules, he is well within the rules, and they have to talk smack about him.

I hope he wins big in the international events and show ppl that u can rise to the top after faltering and unlike his own previous statements that u need dope to succeed that u dont.

fools of the sports establishment are really not thinking long term here. he could be a spokes person for responsibility and share his example, of both bad judgement and good effort.
