I am definately not in favour of them unless its to correct something you damaged in an accident, burns, etc. Otherwise i don’t see a point in it to correct say like a fat nose, thin lips or stuff like that. We should be satisfied with how Allah has made us and i believe every individual is made in a unqiue way and we should make most use of it.
For example, look at Angelina Jolie. The world is mad after her beauty and i also think she is quite striking BUT gosh, what has she not gotten done to her face. From her upper lip, to her nose, chin implant and something to shape the face. Jeez, how can these people then take the compliments as if it was all natural. Ya Rite. I rather be normal, average looking than a walking, talking display of some plastic surgeon. And on top they have make-up man n photographers to correct their flaws and we people are so dumb and stupid to be in awe of their beauty.
What do you guys think? Would u ever get any of such procedures done on yourself?
I think its up the person. If they arent comfortable in their own body, then they should do whatever makes them comfortable. In all honesty, I may one day opt to have something done....maybe lipo or a tummy tuck, or something of that sort, but nothing that would change my face.
I have and I would do more if I wanted it (which I don't right now.. but I might a few years down the line)..
I hate how according to so many desis (not meaning u, Maham) think changing the way Allah made us is wrong in any way except for skin whitening lol.. the hypocrisy is amazing..
My personal preference was to have my chest done but right now I wouldn't have anything done to my face (most of my friends are having botox and/or fillers, esp lips) but that's just me and the fact that I'm not keen on needles at alll.. I might change and feel differently later..
I used to think Katie Price (UK 'glamour' model) was so pretty in her teens and early twenties but after tweaking herself so much (nose job, fillers in lips and cheeks, botox and a few boob jobs) she looks awful.. Imo cosmetic surgery is v.v.easy to get addicted to but as long as u have ur head screwed on and don't get carried away I don't think it's a bad thing..
Angelina looks great to me, I don't think her surgery is that obvious (top lip reduction, nose job that most ppl don't realise has even been done without seeing the 'before' pics and maybe cheek implants and/or filler).. Megan Fox used to look gorgeous too (nose and lips obviously) but a bit waxy nowadays.. Angelina also doesn't tend to wear too much makeup.. Nearly every Hollywood and Bollywood star out there has had something done, just with the good ones it's hard to tell and/or they've been v.discrete.. even a lot of those 'classic' beauty icons like Marilyn Monroe and Sridevi went under the knife..
I’m firm in my believe that “Mohabbat husan ke mowtaj naheen” Love is not detained by good looks alone.
Insaan ka chehra badal saktah hain magar uska rooh naheen badalta… a persons face can change but the soul never changes.
Also for those who have suffered a major injury then perhaps in some cases it’s okay. But as for shaping and whitening or darkening… nope big no from me.
I remmeber one bunch of nutters telling me to cut my hair, lighten my skin, get rid of my chinese eyebrows (apparently i was to have them pinned or something) and get my teeth shaped for a rishta…… I told them they have no need to ever come within arms range of me ever again.
Likewise i told my mother if she ever found a woman for me then she best not be no plastic doll.
If u don't approve of it and have had nothing done urself (and never want to) obviously nothing wrong with that but those hypocrites who ignore the changes they've made to themselves but think it's ok to judge others really get my back up..
Like Faris said tho, love is not about looks alone..

I totally respect your honesty :) And yah totally dislike people who have such complexes about skin color.
I would certainly not approve of it.

Well not everyone does it for approval of others, some do it for their own satisfaction. But in any case, i feel your natural look is the best thing:)
