I know its very hot in most parts of the world and a moonsoon season as well. What is your favorite food item to either beat the heat or atleast give some sense of thandak?
For some it could be Lassi and for many it’ll be icecream, no question
My favorite is however yougurt (Dahi). Love to have some after the meal.
A real story with watermelon. A couple of years back it was as hot as its now. I had got a watermelon from shoprite and it was sitting on the dining table for few days. At night time I was closeby and heard some rumbling sound like how it comes from a empty stomach. While I was trying to pay attention to where it actually is coming from (there was no one else there so it sounded fishy), all of a sudden BAM the watermelon exploded.. all over. It was a mess lol. The carpet underneath the table, the wall, everything got messed up. lol. Imagine the cleanup then
Thats why my goto place is Costco now, its seedless ones are sweet and fresh
Aah, dont even remind me of mangoes. It’ll be blasphemy if we mix mangoes with other stuff. It needs a whole separate thread of its own
Now a lot many desi restaurants here often a drink called “Mango Lassi” . But its more like a very sweet lassi with a strong mangoesh color and some taste of mango. Pretty sure they wont be mixing any actual mongo juice in there lol. But its really very happy and make the stomach bloat
How could I forget to mention bubble milk tea? They’re very light and quench my thirst in the summer. My favorite flavor is hazelnut. I alternate between that and watermelon juice.
Bubble tea is good but ok good not like something to crave for IMO. My objection is that they put a whole lot of sweet in there to make it almost “Zehr”. And imagine I’m saying it cuz i’ve a sweet tooth.
where do you usually get it from? I only see it at thai restaurants.
Pretty sure our desi mango lassi can kick its ass anytime
O man, kya yad dila dya. One of the greatest things I miss dearly. So sweet and refreshing. Although someone once told me that they put a sack of cheap sugar in between the machine so that “Gannay ka rus” passes through it and becomes further sweetened. But I was like who cares man it tastes sooooo good
But I dont think I ever had it with ginger and black salt. Interesting
