An gentleman who is about to retire in our office said that “a man success is measured by how successful and happy his children are. If that is not the case, than he is not successful by any means.”

I think every person differs in how they measure success.. but I don't agree with the concept though. I know some people who are PhDs and have kids who are high school drop-outs and are working minimum wage jobs without any parental support what so ever. So if your a very successful businessman, and you've raised kids giving them everything they wanted how does that make the kids successful? It just shows your rich.. but nothing more than that..

It's the fact that if you are not a success man then it will be quite difficult to help them in achieving their goal.

that's what I was saying mysti. That your children's success is your success. I know of many successful parents but their kids were obviously not given the right guidance or time and are truely struggling with life as adults.
