I really want to get rid of Umar Gul and Misbah ul Haq. hope somone can replace both of em soon.
Shoaib Malik as much as i hate him is apparently one of very view Pakistani Batsman who can rotate strike well by taking quick singles. So I have to add him if I want to see Pakistan win the Asia Cup. He has done good in past @ #3 in asia and hopefully he can get his form back. As a batsman he has potential as a person lets not touch the topic.
Adding Younis Khan will make team stronger but we want a better team for WC 2015. Shoaib Malik is better candidate for 2015 WC than Younis khan.So i wud sit Younis khan out unless teams performance is pathetic like last 2 T20's.
Azhar Ali should replace Misbah in ideal situation and Play as #4 but we know this isnt happening so being realistic I played Misbah @ # 6.
3 requests, no Shoaib Malik and no Imran Farhat. A proper wicket-keeper batsman. No Akmals as keeper please.
Ahmed Shehzad
Mohammed Hafeez
Asad Shafiq
Umar Akmal
Younus Khan
Misbah ul Haq
Sarfraz Ahmed
Hamad Azam
Shahid Afridi
Saeed Ajmal
Umar Gul
Aizaz Cheema
Wahab Riaz
Abdur Rehman
Nasir Jamshed / Mohammad Talha
Thats a good squad but I wouldn't have Sarfraz ahmed as WK. I know, I know Akmals are not the best but that is our option for now until Sarfraz can improve his batting. Shafiq can keep as well...
I would add another bowler in place for Cheema
No Malik or Farhat.
Pakistan's biggest dilemma is whether or not to ask Umar Akmal to keep as well. Ideally you should not be asking one of your main batsmen to keep wickets. Not only is Umar's keeping ordinary but it is also affecting his batting
But lets not forget our batting problems and playing only keeper means we have to go with 5 specialist batsmen.
Unfortunately I am not too impressed with the batting capabilities of either Adnan (sl. better with the bat) or Sarfraz. Both equally good when it comes to glovework. But we just cannot afford to go with a keeper who does n't contribute much with the bat (given our weakness in batting). It negatively affects the balance of the side. Playing Umar Akmal as a wicket-keeper batsman is not ideal but it does allow us to play an extra batsman (Batting is the key in ODIs)
Name me one international keeper, who does't bat. Wade (Aus) and Kieswetter (Eng) are new to international cricket but Mc Cullum (NZ), AB de Villiers (SA), Dhoni (India) and Sangakkara (SLA) are all genuine batsmen in their own right.
