I love zeera!!! i use it in all my dishes!!
it gives a gawjus aroma to the salan :hayaa:

Also someone mentioned imli chutney?
i came across this vid on utube and i think this woman is brill :slight_smile:

Does anyone have any other chutney recipes ??

Cajun spice all the way!!!!!!! I also use seasoned salt in everything also.

anardana in chapli kebab is divineee. i also add fresh pomegranate to aloo chaat, it gives a nice tangy crunch :@:

Okay people, I love to cook as well.. and I use fresh lemon juice into all my food.. I put just a little bit of it and it gives you a nice flavour.. and oh I also use Madras curry powder and my friends and family just love the taste of my food.. it's subtle taste wise but definitely has the kick to it.. so try that.

Bleme, that’s the best masala I’ve tried so far, yeah shaan is okay but I have notcied people having a heart burn after using that in their foods..

My favourite ingredients have to be:

1) Coriander seeds+fresh coriander

2) Green Chillies

3) Butter...especially if you add it when the meat is done, a couple of minutes before turning the stove off. I love the flavour and aroma it adds to any meat dish or even daal.

CB...you seem to like all the ingredients:p

I have to say I am also a huge fan of lemon juice.

That's why i'm not a fan of Zubeida Tariq's recipes :/

Oh but why do you not like lemons? And what do you use instead for a tangy flavour? I personally don't like vinegar.

Depending on the dish

zeera/garam masala for apnay khaana

coarse black pepper for pizzas

dried herbs for lasagne

anaardana for pakoray

i'd say cinammon! i bake a lot and its always handy and adds dimension to a lot of my baked goods, but its also a good addition to french toast. mmm....

lol… well I would say my favorite ingredients are zeera, bell pepper, cinnamon, tomato puree, and peanut butter…they all vary from dish to dish. :slight_smile:

My secret ingredients also vary from dish to dish…

Green chillies are my fav! :yummy: Also, garnishing fresh ginger julienne and cilantro adds a zing to most meat dishes. Oh and one more: Kasoori methi (dried fenugreek leaves)…Try them in your keema and other dishes…:k: :k:
