Your rights as a consumer

Re: Your rights as a consumer

I think your consumer rights vary depending on whether you are shopping at some uppity store, harrods maybe? or walmart. At the latter you would probably be told to ‘get movin’ if you had a complaint. Unless you want to take it all the way to a court, which many wont.

As for the questions:

  • not really
  • not sure, depends on whether they actually work
  • I dont think so - what I do is, let them know if something I bought was messed up, if they agree on a replacement, fine - if they don’t, I will just toss it on their counter and leave, and ideally not go back to that store
  • might have happened a few times when something I bought and took home, I discovered it was broken or otherwise not useable. Took it back, they said I should have checked beforehand and now it can’t be replaced. Just like I said, tossed it at the counter and walked out.

PS. I have censored the swearing parts :vivo:
