Do you mostly eat and drink for health or for taste. I mean mostly in your daily life your priority is ingredients or anything which tastes good ?

Merely for taste unfortunately. For the last two years atleast, I have been on Chocolates, cakes, brownies...
But I have fast metabolism so it doesnt bother me.

^Same case here, I eat alot of choclates and sweets. The Doctors say not to worry as it is digested quickly as I do alot of exertion as well.

See the thing is I dont really work out, but still manage to be 'skinny.' Plus I figured I am lackin salt in my body. I dont really eat salt!

My diet pretty much just consists of dairy/poultry/meat products, and thats it.

i treat my body like an amusement park, and for THAT to occur, body needs to be in high-performance shape…
so yeah i consume for health, but like 5% of the time, i also treat my body, spoil it a bit ..
cuz its all about balancing .. if u completely wipe sugar or other things off ur diet, then eventually ur body suffers..
and u can have tasty stuff thats healthy as well ..

They day i think to myself of not eating too much of oily or sweet food, the same day i end upconsuming the most trash:bummer: and i hate everyone who has fast metabolism out there:snooty:

^ It is not our fault if Allah blessed us with a fast metabolism. Infact we must be thankful to Allah for whatever he has given us and not given us as there is always something better for us in that, as Allah knows what is best for us and our mental capabilities are too limited to understand the "Wisdom" behind every action of Allah :)

I appologise if it was just a comment. I felt like sharing how I felt after reading it, didnt meant to offend though. I am glad you took it positively.
@ topic. I have limited my eating habbits to 2 times to 1 time a day and that too keeping in mind to not fill the stomach completely and moslty eat and drink what is good for health (honey, milk, zeytoon, dates...etc). The reason behind it is that according to my knowledge all the great thinkers in the past use to eat, sleep and talk very less

metabolism isnt like genetics/hereditary-passed-on stuff that u’re stuck with it .. its not like ur height, or # of hair.. its in YOUR control… so dont think that its BLESSED upon ppl .. its achieved, and if u dont take care of ur body .. its taken away too .. (trying to come to your choice of words)

it works like the mathematical concept of 'asymptotes' the graph will never touch the 90 degree steepness, though it will come really steep, and it will never touch 0 degree flatness, though it will come really near..
metabolism can be increased with total food intake increased, but mealsize decreased, gradually. i used to eat regular 2 meals a day with snack in middle or not even .. was always on the go-go schedule, (fulltime work, fulltime studies, and both places 3 hrs away, one way). so had no time to eat.. i constantly used to find myself tired, aching body, troubled sleeps, no sleeps at all, constant itching ..
now i eat 5-8 times a day, eat shorter meals, 70% more food overall than what i described above, n i've lost 40pounds and gained some muscle, but progress keeps on becoming slower and slower, cuz body is touching its genetical limits now in terms with metabolism rate thats skyrocketted, and muscle that i can gain .. and every day i have to work harder and harder to get lower and lower results ..

In the past I used to eat to fulfill myself and my stomach. Now I eat because I have to eat when I get hungry and I end up enjoying it as well. I cut down my calorie intake by half (on purpose off course) and I see that it fulfills my taste buds just as much. I don’t eat many sweets as I used to and sometimes when I feel bloated, I start cutting down more calories for a few days until I feel that that bloating is gone.
I used to feel sad if I couldn’t get my hands on some kind of special treat like cakes, cookies or sweets (like if they were all gone) but now I feel that I am better off not eating that stuff that’s going to become part of my body:bummer: in the form of fat.
I do not like to be fat…I refuse to be fat!!! And I am very happy with what I have now. I just feel why I didn’t change my eating habits years ago. But as long as I am able to keep my body thin as it is now, I will be very happy.
