^^I think being confident in oneself is a BIGGIE when you're involved with someone. This affects the way the other person sees you, how you deal with situations and problems, and also your outlook for the future. If you're not confident enough about yourself, how can another person make up for it??
Anyways, back to the topic. If I were to have met dearest husband in a different setting (i.e. school, social events), I probably would not have thought he was my type. But the more we talked, the more I liked him. He was not exactly what I THOUGHT was my type, but turned out to be far more than I could have ever prayed for, mashAllah!! So I guess what I mean to say is, keep your eyes open to everyone, and don't limit yourself to only certain types of people.
