For the married women, who have their parents living with you and your husband (and kids)-
what was the scenario ? ie- was one of them sick? Retired? Etc .. ?
How was the adjustment, if doing it after moving out of your parents home, then having them move with you.
Privacy - how did it affect?
For the husbands- how do you deal with it?
In desi culture its so common for the husband’s parents to live with the couple, but not the other way around .. i just want to know the other side of it

In the western culture females are the caregivers to their parents. I wonder why wife’s family is not given due respect. Two of my wifes sisters lived with us but things got really ugly.

My wife’s parents lived with us in their final years because they were sick and my wife insisted on taking care of them instead of their daughter-in-law.
There were absolutely no problems with me or the kids. It was just having more people in the household.
