How much baking powder do you add? I’ve been wanting to add baking powder but not sure how much.

I’ve never added mint leaves to mine…will try that too!

Is bread pakora good?

I put bhuna zeera in EVERYTHING! LOL.

Use the pepridge farm sandwich bread, green chutney on one slice, chili garlic sauce on other spread nice and evenly and they shouldn’t seep out, a thin layer of aalo bhurta and paneer sliced. I put a pinch of baking powder but lately swad and laxmi besan make pretty phoolay huay pakoras so now I will frynone.. see the softness and phulapan and then add it

Besan, Salt, Chili powder, corainder powder, roasted zeera powder, baking soda (a pinch), sometimes garlic/ginger powder, grinded green chilies. This is the basic paste. I make following varieties:

finely cubed potatoes & sping onion
Spinach Pakoras
Chicken pakoras (my favourite)
brinjal pakoras (but for that I marinate brinjal slices in salt, chili powder and ajwain for half an hour)
Corn and coriander pakoras

basic batter: Besan, salt,lal mirch, chaat masala, bhuna zeera, baking powder
another way: besan, chinese salt, regular salt, black pepper, white pepper, oregano, parsley, baking powder

My batter consists of: besan, salt, chilli, zeera, pinch of tumeric, ground dhaniya, garam masala, pinch of pepper, chilli flakes, and Ajwain seeds

Salt, red pepper, zeera, coriander powder, ajwain, methi and a good healthy heap of fruit chaat masala to the besan. I usually make using sliced onions, potatoes, spinach and hari mirch with a lot of chopped fresh corianderand mint.I will try toasting the zeera next time.

besan, salt, baking powder (pinch), red chilli powder, turmeric powder, zeera, chopped green chillies, chopped onions, chopped coriander, and chopped spring onions. thinly sliced potato slices, and boneless chicken bites.
