Did you see the final RBST20 game? Asif figured 4-x-9-1, so he gave 9 runs in 4 overs and you think just because one dumb slogger hit Asif (which was a fluke btw) you will not include him in playing XI and have Rana instead?

I wouldnt put Gul in this format any more. he is not bowling upto his potential. I would rather put Sami or Even Sohail Khan in his place. Also I would put Sarfaraz Ahmed as the keeper, with Senior Akmal as specialist batsman.

I have been in favor of having Nazir(even with all recklesness) in T20 sides..thinking that 11 ball 25 runs start and getting out in 3rd over is good eough for a Pakistani opener. But for past several games (domestic and international) I have seen that something happens to nazir after hitting first boundry, before the first 4 or 6 he seems composed but as soon as he gets one in middle it all changes and instead of calming his nerves it just sends him in over drive more and result is that more often than not he gets out in next 2 balls.
Shahzeb, seems bit similar like Nazir but i think he has batted with slight more maturity (maturity ONLY when comparing to Nazir and not to Sachin) in last few games....he too hits the ball in the air a lot BUT seems to value his wicket **slightly more **than Nazir.
Most people in international cricket know very well about Nazir's impatient and know how to bowl to him...where as Shahzeb even with his bad technique **can get away for few overs **when opponent is trying to figure him out and that 4 over time frame in enough to take game away in a T20 game.
The drive factor is another reason where Shahzeb can(possibly) score better than Nazir...Nazir has been around for 10 years NOW knows that there is only one way he is expected to play..so (like Afridi) he wouldnt even try to bat in any way other than 7 ball innings or in responsible manner...where as shahzeb, knows that he has to make his spot in the team....which will drive him to bat with more responsibility.......he might show slightly better temprament in game and may be able to produce more 20 ball innings than Nazir.
So after considering above I am in favor of taking shahzeb over nazir for WC

They were suppose to announce the squad today but it seems like it'll be delayed by a week at least. I wonder if the committee's report has any bearing on this decision.

I know its hard time for Pakistan as well as Pakistan Cricket.. But we always come up from underdogs to champions and Inshallah this will be no different. We can defend and win One more .. I know my team will probably sound not so much effective after pcb announced that they r gonna ban most of seniors... but

^^ Misbah is better choice to captain the ( lot more better than Razaq)... lets wait and see... the frame of mind BUTT sahib is in these days, i'll not be surprised to see Fawad Alam as the captain of the team... :)

i doubt that he''ll be considered ( u know y, they just fined him).. , so the best choice would be mohammad hafeez? what do you say.. or should we get Hammad in the team and make him captain as well??? he showed lots of maturity and commitment... something missing from seniors..
Misbah is not captain material? 
He is one of the shrewdest captains, but unfortunately his batting doesn’t click at international level and when it clicked he trashed it (final T20 vs India).

According to Dawn.com's article below, Imran Nazir will be dropped from T20. That guarantees a spot for Mohammad Hafeez. But I think Farhat (cuz of Susarji) will get selected. I guess the question is will Malik & Rana be banned and if that, who'll get the consistent spot taken by Malik in the middle order. My vote would be for Navid Yasin to take that spot. The captaincy war, dude I dont think anyone except Afridi should be captain because of more division in the team. If Hafeez (as suggested) becomes captain ( who does not command a permanent spot in the team), that will only anger the likes of Razzaq & Afridi. ** It's best to stick with Afridi for the sake of team unity.**
LAHORE: Shoaib Malik and Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, two key players of the Pakistan cricket team, are likely to face a one-year ban each as recommended by the PCB committee set up to probe the team’s pathetic performance on the tour of Australia last Dec-Jan.
Well-informed sources told Dawn that the PCB, while accepting the committee’s recommendations, has decided to show zero-tolerance for any kind of indiscipline and is contemplating imposing the bans on the two players very soon.
Though it is being said that both were involved in acts of indiscipline in Australia, the timing and extent of the punishment raises doubts that they are getting punished for something more grievous.
PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt had disclosed in a press conference earlier this month that the ICC had given the names of two players involved in match fixing but he later took a somersault to say that he was only talking about some former Test cricketers — Saleem Malik and Ata-ur-Rehman.
Moreover, reliable sources informed that dashing opener Imran Nazir may not find a place in the national team for the forthcoming T20 World Cup, to be announced on March 14.
The selectors are of the view that Imran has failed to show consistent performance in the T20 matches and does not deserve a place in the squad.
