I heard Precious was a very raw film. I want to see it.

Re: Your Oscar Picks
District 9 in best picture category? I mean it was a good movie but definitely not worthy of best picture, in my opinion.
Re: Your Oscar Picks
The funniest thing about the best picture category is that James Cameron (director of Avatar) and Kathryn Bigelow (director of The Hurt Locker) were married and divorced and are up against each other in this category.
Victory will be sweet for one of them. :D
Re: Your Oscar Picks
I think, Avatar deserves the best picture award .. not because its a high budget movie but quite a trend setter in this new 3D wave.
Re: Your Oscar Picks
Avatar or Hurt Locker will grab the best movie for sure
Re: Your Oscar Picks
Avatar. Have you seen how many 'If so-and-so was in Avatar, he would look like this' groups are on facebook?! Sheesh.
Re: Your Oscar Picks
omg i still havent seen avatar ![]()
Re: Your Oscar Picks
I vote for The Hurt Locker. Avatar was such a let down for me.
Re: Your Oscar Picks
Why did it let you down M :ASA:??
Re: Your Oscar Picks
It was a mixture of many things…i just didn’t come out of the cinema thinking “wow, that was awesome”…
The Hurt Locker on the other hand…it’s a well-acted out war epic. And NO it’s not really about the Iraq war or pontification; the storyline really encompasses what we all feel at some time; loneliness and fear.
Kudos to Kathryn Bigelow :k:
Re: Your Oscar Picks
I haven’t seen the Hurt Locker.
Re: Your Oscar Picks
My Predictions:
Best Picture: The Hurt Locker
Best Director: Kathryn Bigelow - director for Hurt Locker
Best Actor: Jeremy Renner - Actor in Hurt Locker
Best Actress: Sandra Bullock
Best Supporting Actor - Christoph Waltz - Inglorious Basterds
Best Supporting Actress - Monique - Precious
Awesome Movie.
One of the Greatest War Movies Ever Made.
Incredibly Intense
Re: Your Oscar Picks
didn't they ban Hurt Locker's producer from the Oscars? Not just the producer but the whole unit.. that sucks lemons, leme tell ya!
I hope Avatar wins as well.. one of the best movie of all time, not just the 3D effects but the story line was quit impressive and had that msg to it at the end.

maroush - I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if they'll be happy for each other :D and here comes an origin of a life1 thread...
Re: Your Oscar Picks
I really like the Bind Side too. I wonder if Sandra will win. I still have to Julie and Julia.
Re: Your Oscar Picks
