Re: Your Opinion/Thoughts on the presidential forum on faith!
Truthfully, it's nobodies business except to clarify the candidates did not have a religious minded agenda of any sorts.
Religion has no place in goverment nor politics. Religion and state should be separate and there should not be any funding of religious schools at all!!!!!
A good goverment is democratic, a good society is secular and pluralistic and the well being of a country is not influenced by religious dogma but on humanistic principles. And above all, civil law not religious law .

i dont think i agree with you totally...cuz i think a person's views, opinions do tell alot about that person. Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion but at the end of the day thats wat they are judged from.

Iam referring to the fact religion has no place in a democratic goverment in a pluralistic society. As the world continues to modernize and become increasingly global and immediate in communication civil law will become adopted over religious law . Enlightenment and education will pursue a concept of new age spirituality and not patriarchal religions . More zen then zealots Read Christopher Hitchen's if you need more clarification regarding the trouble with religions.
Re: Your Opinion/Thoughts on the presidential forum on faith!
I think the faith plays a major role in the run-up for candidates along with the obvious domestic and international issues. Sometimes faith-based affiliations can make or break a candidate.
The Bush campaign was run on the basic principle to capture the Evangelists and the faith-based crowds.
