hey guys.. i wish to know your opinions and suggestion on the oufit for the dulha on the wedding day (barat)..
usually its preffered to go for something traditional like sherwani.. and i personally think sherwani looks excellent..
BUT should a guy with a shorter than average height opt for a sherwani? or stay on the safer side and wear a suit..?
height is around 5’7 - 5"8 .. and physique is towards the skinny side..not very skinny
please give me ure opinions..

He can wear what he wants as long as it fits properly. Height should not make a difference.

but the dulha seems to be paranoid about whether he has the body to carry a sherwani off..
so thought id take suggestions from the wonderful people on this forum =D

Well he's an idiot then :)
You need to make sure the fit is perfect! There's nothing worse tha a man wearing a suit/sherwani with sleeves that are too long, or the shoulders slouch... just like the dudes on star plus. Looks nasty.
my hubby is 5'8 and he was concerned about wearing a sherwani too, but he looked perfectly fine and infact it suits him quite nicely...so i dont think height makes a difference!
Just make sure fitting is correct

My fiance as shorter than 5'8 but is wearing a sherwani but a 3/4 lenght one, which looked amazing when he tried it on. Actually the longer lines make you look taller.

5 '8 is an ok height for a guy! When you said shorter than average i was thinking more like 5'3/5'4 !

I agree many Pakistani men are 5' 8". Its regular height for a Pakistani male. A sherwani should look nice. In my opinion its not very often one esp a male can get dressed in traditional outfits like that so he should go all out and wear a sherwani.

my hubbie is 6ft and iam thinking on da day of our ruksati iam gonna make him wear an open sherwani.. dey look gud on tall men :)
