Re: Your New Laptop

open IE to download chrome and never look back at IE again!

Re: Your New Laptop

Reformat the HDD, install OS, and the latest drivers, update the OS, install the applications. Never used the factory installed software on a windows machine.

Re: Your New Laptop

Take it out of the box?

Check it for scratches incase it’s a return.. (which the one I bought a few weeks back looks like it was returned, but no scratches. Just seal was broken. I think the guy did some voodoo on it before he gave it to me) :disgust:

Re: Your New Laptop

^ what is the "# of scratch" threshold as a criterion for returning the laptop? Would that be a function of the length, width and depth if the scratches?

Re: Your New Laptop

Drain the battery :D

Re: Your New Laptop

Even a fingerprint is a good enough criteria to return it :snooty:

Re: Your New Laptop

Re: Your New Laptop

To the point.. most of the drivers are available now a days, it used to be time consuming looking for drives online back in the days . And why would you reformat the HDD?

Re: Your New Laptop

Take it out of the box —> shows scratches//umm don’t like it ----> return it back

changed my mind. :rotato:

Re: Your New Laptop

I bought a HP laptop once upon a time, and after opening it realised this wasn’t what I wanted. And dixons don’t take back laptops unless they are faulty, so after banging the keyboard a few times to develop a fault with the keys ahem I was granted my refund :shireen:
