Actually it wasn’t the Germans so much as the Japanese, the Germans had better weapons and more numbers than the British.

The Japanese had good weapons but were heavily outnumbered at the begining of thier “Great Punch” offensive. The British really under estimated the Japanese and they taught the World to really fear and respect the Asians. Only the Atomb bomb could persuade the Japs to surrender anything short of that was still fair odds to them.

He still had a few Grand Prix wins in him. It's just that the William's was just frustrating without active suspension and he had terrible luck, flying of like that.

Yes his accident was one of the worst I still remember it vividly and so many of us watching were waiting with the expectation he might still walk out... that was really shocking when the guy did not get out of the vehicle.
