34 pages, Times New Roman Size 11, 1.5 spacing. Reference list was 6 pages on top of that.

*Honors thesis for a biology degree. 12,110 words, 50 pages and 19 images included. Over 50 scientific references, and a freakin’ presentation of the thesis to boot.
Got an A+

yeah the academics are an anomaly since 20 - 30 pages and 50 to 60 references are average for any journal article... conference papers are typically a little lesser than that.

Just to give you an idea... so far, my longest deliverable has been my Dissertation Proposal document which I submitted for my Ph.D. candidacy requirements after completing the residency.
Here's how it was:
Main Body: 24,500 words, 1.5 spaced on 73 pages
Appendices: 3,300 words long comprising 12 pages
References: single spaced 10 pages comprising 211 references
The final dissertation deliverable will be anywhere between 250 to 300 pages long (all inclusive).

Around 12,000 on my final yr disst. had three months to do it, but done most of it in the last two weeks by pulling all nighters...as usual.

My M.A.Sc. thesis was over 100 pages long...

Insane (!), but I'm guessing it's standard for Ph.D. work, true Umar bhai?

^ mine was a little bit on the longer side due to the nature of my research methodology but yes... a proposal is typically 50 pages+ and appendices and references are extra.
Similarly, the final disssertation can vary in length but 200 pages is fairly common... I'm already on page 182 and still have to write two and a half more chapters over the next few months.

my longest essay/paper will be due in abt 2 months.. its going to be like 7-8 pages long..its a research paper...so i am guessing i'll find lots of stuff to "paraphrase"

my paper that is due in two weeks in about benefit of arranged marriages. in that paper i am going to argue that arranged marriages are better way to finding a spouse and those marriages are more successful compare to love marriages in western society.
i need help with title. can anyone of you think of a nice and interesting title for my paper
