mine were when i stayed there for 6 months my house isnt really big its a decent size but the veranda is huge open space and playing ludo omg!! ludo:hayaa:
or swinging on the swing my mum made for us..
and gol gappe and catching jugnu’s on a night time when i used to stay at my naani’s house i really miss pak:(
When I went aroud 4-5 years ago and we (me and my cousins) explored ALL the resturants of Lahore, Those Crazy night outs and late night Ice cream plans were just amazing :)
**Having tea and biscuits in my nani’s garden, which by the way won the “best garden contest in 2007” !!! **
At night taking long walks with my mom and khala’s and them telling me all about their childhood and my grandfather:wub:
Spending time with my bf and riding around on his motoercycle:wub:
Waking up at noon or after when everyone is having lunch and the smell is all around the house.
When you get out of the car there is a sudden change in tem, and there is pollution all around you and all you can hear are honks and beeps of people being rude, and also no one knows how to park:wub: (I’m not kidding, otherwise pakiland would not be the same)
we used to go up on the chaTh (all cousins) when the light used to go out and then we used to sing in our horrible voices and where i live the houses and rooftops are just close enough that u can jump in theirs.:@:i used to go to climb to neighbors roof and peek .:LB:
I miss ludo too, we use to play in the street at night time, a group of us blocking the street, I’m from a village so everyone is related and knows everyone else so nobody minds.
I also miss going to the nearest town/city on my bike n then coming back tired out at sunset and the feeling I use to get when I got on the road which lead to my village was unbelievable, after a day away you suddenly meet all these ppl you know workin’ in the fields etc. and shoutin greetins n everyone just feels like one big family… sighhhh..
Harvest time was especially fun, these days life is quite fast paced even in villages so ppl do their own thing but at harvest time the whole paternal tribe/clan gets together at the farm ranch on the ancestral lands outside the village and everyone helps each other cut the wheat and then make bundles, which are then thrown in this great big machine which seperates the grain from the hay..
Then u cum to England and there’s black clouds everywhere, it’s like being thrown in a well without a rope to pull u back out… You crave, you pine for a Ray, just one more Ray of Pakistani Sunishine.
i miss piracy.......
..
u can get any software or DVD in the world in range of Rs 30-90..
plus any book of the planet sold being compiled not on printed but on photocopied pages from the orignal..
miss those cheap "cinema print" movie cd's of latest flicks videotaped by vendors in theatres.
AAh....
long gone are the good old days
And I can never forget the night of my cousin Mayon when all of a sudden at 1 at night she started moaning ‘‘Kameeno its my wedding-- MY daddy spent all the money and I didnt even get to eat the Ice cream and Paan at the function so all of you are taking me out to Chaman ice cream’’
And all of us partied on road for 2 hours and came back, It was a night t remember :hinna:
Being totally stupid and laughing at night till the early morning hours with my bro and sis
Talking with my dad and just cuddling him and his cute belly
Gossiping with mum lol!!
back in pakiland with my cousins...
Laying out kambals on the floor so all four to seven of us could sleep together,
Cuddling together when nobody could be bothered to gte up and switch the AC off
Pillow Fights and water fights at night whilst having to sneak around everyone elses homes
Screaming at each other to get out of the bathroom
Getting ready together for a wedding/party (Its not the same here, no matter who i do it with lol... different kind of love with them seriously)
Lying down on the roofs and then running downstairs after we hear 'noises' and see 'black shadows' lool!!
Now Uni memories...
Seven people in a car (we were all pakis so i guess we gota do it desi ishtyle)
Southall restraunts for lunch, as if desi food wasnt enough at home lol!!
samosa chaaatt
15 people crammed into a tiny room watching dvd's
Giving each other birthday parties in halls
Playing knock down ginger in halls lol!
Leaving the library to go for a shisha when we have an exam/assignment due
Bringin food from home and feeding it to the home food deprived people
Picking on security in the library and recieving fines from 'adeel' and then finding his profile on shaadi.com looollll
awwwwwwww i miss my uni days alreadyyy theres so many more i cud stick on but im not even sure people will get this far with useless stuff ive jotted down
It really is the simple things that make the biggest difference.
Mine was of throwing rocks at people (from above), but then i was caught by a family member and told off so i never did it again. Oh yes and kite flying. After fajr i would go straight upstairs without even having breakfast and challenge anyone who was awake!
Most missing thing is sand storm and twister. Sometimes people said that genies are inside the twister and we always run behind the twister to see them but I don’t think now we have in Pakistan as now every ground has been transformed into a stony building.
