My dad’s first cousin and his family ( 8 members ) came to England for a visit… Dad asked me to have then stay over at my place … all was good until i realized i had to cook for them too , that time i knew crap about cooking 
I made Chicken biryani … that came out looking like coal biryani
Koftay .. that came out looking like shorba wala keema 
and ras malai .. that too came out looking like ras malai ka halwa 
the only good thing on the table was water and naan ( from the tandoor) …
needless to say , aunty took over cooking for the entire time that they were with me
