Someone wrote about good story telling being a nice attribute for a religious writer. As a kid, I just loved C Rajagopalachari’s books on Ramayana and Mahabharata. He wrote so beautifully that the characters literally jumped out of the pages.

For example, the chapter Karna and Bhima is etched in the mind decades later.

Are there any versions of Gita available in simple and easy to understand English? Besides Ramayan and Mahabharata, there are Upanishad. Did you get a chance to go through them as well. I would like to go through these books, if available in easy to understand language.
