Your Favorite Safarnama

I enjoyed reading almost all of Mustansar Hussain Tarar’s work. But my fav. is Ibn-e-Insha’s “Chaltay ho to cheen ko chal’eeyay”

The reason I liked it is because it was less about places and more about people that he wrote.

Re: Your Favorite Safarnama

I have read many and I enjoyed all of them because I learnt a lot from all of them. Experience of other people is one great tool to learn and enjoy life; however, the most dearest safarnama that I own and enjoyed reading it to bits is:

Jahaan-e-Deedah - written by Mufti-e-Azam Pakistan Justice (Rtd.) Taqi Usmani. It comprises of his journey to 20 countries where not only he takes you back to the Islamic history, days of glories and downfall, linking the missing links with Quranic and ahaadeeth references and prophecies, but a detailed account of geography of the places he visits.
