What’s your flavor when it comes to juicing up the motor? Factory-built or otherwise. Would you prefer Supercharger or Turbo and why?

You dont see too many cars with factory superchargers anymore. Do the 3800 series engines still come with the optional supercharger?
Turbo's provide slightly better fuel efficiency since theyre not run off the engine belt. Too bad theyre more complex overall but theyre a perfected technology now, which means they no longer break down as before.
Having said that, nothing really beats the displacement of a V8.

And we know there's always a favourite.
Turbocharger very slightly beats the glorious whine of a supercharger!

For me, a high octane straight 6 works best but if I have to choose a smaller motor, I would get a VW GTI or VW Scirroco GT cause it has both the SC and TC fitted at factory.

Dunno about the Scirocco since it's not available this side of the pond but the GTI is TC only with the only powerplant offered being the 2.0T engine. Even the R32 (vr6) is replaced with an R which is the same engine.

That's awesome. I love a turbo set up more than SC, personally because it is driven independent of the engine. What you lose in having turbo (slight lag before it spool), you make up for in longivity.
Superchargers are nice too though, only drawback being, it's driven by the motors and adds more stress on the internals.
Have any of you done a turbo set up? On an NA car...
