Can I get recommendations on the best eye liners that don’t bleed on your eyelashes or lids? I’ve tried Rimmel which I have been using for years but now I’ve noticed its bleeds and doesn’t sharpen properly. MAC is awesome but smudges so easily. Anything else? From everyday to party wear? I also tried the sephora water/smudge free one, that one doesn’t even run or wash off my eyes haha.
Re: Your Favorite Eyeliners
I once tried MAC and it made my eyes itch, had to return it. Thankfully, I had them try it on me so by the time I got home and my eyes got red, I hadn't opened the box. So I gave it back.
I had the best experience with Lancome. That's if you're ok with sharpening, and you need a proper sharpner. I didn't like Estee as much, but now I'm ok with their pencils - maybe they've just gotten old and are softer now from the humidity in Florida. I dunno. I initially thought they were rough on the eyes, but used to it now. Lancome definitely has a superior quality kohl. But pricey. They always include one in their free gifts though, so easy to get.
Just saw a marc jacobs review by TotalMakeUpJunkie101 - she is desi, and I like watching her videos (you have to get past the airheaded talk), but she shows how colors look on her. She recently reviewed the holiday eyeliner set by marc jacobs. Broken down cost-wise, each stick is low cost. Non-sharpener type pencils, self sharpening in a stick. Colors look bright and nice. Haven't tried it though.
Used to get Avon eyeliner - first the sticks, then the gel liner. Now I realize what a garbage product it was.
The other thing that works SUPER WELL and saves money is if you have an eyeshadow set with a kohl black eyeshadow - just take an eyeliner brush and smear the color on as a line - you get better coverage, no areas that get skipped as you see with pencils. I did that for a few years, and got excellent reviews on my eyes. The shadow stays on all day too. And later in the day/night it smudges a little with the rest of your eyeshadow so unwittingly you get a smokey eyes look. :)
Oh those were the days. Now I'm just using some Estee pencils, because I want to use them up, they've been sitting around. Still have my lancome liner in Brown. That's my best liner. Gives a great line. It's the pencil w/wood that you have to sharpen though. You end up losing product with a crappy sharpner that keeps breaking the pencil.

I have the urban Decay set. Its smooth on my thin skin eyes. Although it does smudge but I do that deliberately.
