Re: Your Exsistence and GOD
I find it that it satisfying for me to study science and what it reveals through PHYSICAL EVIDENCE, about our past; as opposed to saying "everything is made my allah mia" without any proof.
let me give you AN example:
Richard Lenski watched some populations of E. coli for like 30,000 generations, and eventually they developed a whole new freaking gene that allowed them to metabolize citrate.
Another would be:
The reason people get flu shots every year is because, well, the bacteria evolve through evolution to understand and FIGHT the antibiotics. So we have to make new antibiotics as a result.
So, to me, science offers answers that I can see and understand through a process. Religion offers no such thing. No amount of belief makes something a fact. That is why I have abandoned islam/belief in god.
Pardon me Dr. but this is the most pathatic answer I ever heard from an atheist. Your answer is like I am saying my profile's logo is in black with red text and blue flames. You see it by your eyes than accept it and believe what I am saying is true and without any further investigation about it you 'believe'. But hay! wait a minute. Tell me one thing that who created, designed, drafted this logo? When it was designed, created or drafted first? Where does this idea came from? The one who created, designed or drafted can show me how he did? To save oneself from all troubles of further investigations of above questions, one just believe what presented to him as already scientifically proven thing. Here is the example of Dr. Jeffery Lang:
Dr. Jeffrey Lang (b. 1954) was born as a Catholic but became an atheist during his high school years despite the efforts of his Catholic teacher and parents to convince him of the existence of God. He remained an atheist for the next 10 years throughout his undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies. He accepted Islam in early 1980's and authored two books: "Struggling to Surrender" (1994) and "Even Angels Ask" (1997). He said: "For those whom Islam has embraced, the greatest witness to God’s unremitting, pursuing, sustaining, and guiding love is the Qur’an. Like a vast magnificent ocean, it lures you deeper and deeper into its dazzling waves until you are swept into it. But instead of drowning in a sea of darkness, as described above, you find yourself immersed in an ocean of divine light and mercy. … as I read the Qur’an and prayed the Islamic prayers, a door to my heart was unsealed and I was immersed in an overwhelming tenderness. Love became more permanent and real than the earth beneath my feet; its power restored me and made it so that even I could feel love … I was happy enough to have found faith in a sensible religion. But I never expected to be touched by such intoxicating mercy."
Question is how he accepted Islam from atheism? If you see his video clips he said that being an atheist, he was reading the Book (Holy Quran) and after reading the very beginning verses from first Chapter he shocked that these are the same questions which were in his mind and couldn't find answers of these but he found in this book which in exist since 1400 hundred years ago.
I am not saying to you that you may accept the religion 'Islam' but I am trying to say you that if you believe in 'new freaking gene' or in 'bacteria' than do some research on it by yourself, than come up with a solid point rather than sitting at a place and mumbling that there is no God'.
