I did ask them, no one knew what I was supposed to do because it wasn’t a normal renewal. so each person would point me towards a different counter and basically just tried to get rid of me. And I didn’t mean any offense by my description of the Jeddah consulate, I accept these things as a part of my Pakistani life 
I wasn’t whining, just relating my experience.
