really, how is having an ex so revolting, if someone liked someone and things did nto work out, due to family, religous, timing issues or even differences on lifestyle expectations…and they part ways, how is that revolting, and why is she a slut, if things worked out and she got married to him would she still be a slut?
We have no idea whaht the nature of relationship was and why she wants tto meet up. so lets be a little less judgemental here people.

The consequences could be very damaging especially if your wife comes to know about it. Your marriage might be in jeopardy. What will you achieve by meeting her? Is it worth your marriage and future happiness? You will be breaking the trust your wife has placed in you. Wouldn't you feel guilty. You should not meet her.

5 years and she still wants to keep in touch. It is not uncommon for women to want to keep in touch with old flames. Reason being that women are generally more sentimental, and sometimes it is simple curiosity. Here it sounds like she still has feelings for you, but please do not meet her. Too much at stake here.

If you believe it is possible to have friends of the opposite sex then there is no problem. There is no reason why you still can't be friends.
If she wants more then you need to consider your marriage. You may not know what she wants until you meet her, and if she knows you are married then it is unlikely that she would want to reck your marriage and your friendship unless you are willing to oblige her.
In conclusion...meet her and she what see has to say...if its is friendship that she seeks then it should not be a problem unless you have an insecure wife. If she wants more then you need to chose between your wife and her. Don't try to play both of them whatever you do.

what if she trusts him and wants his advise one something, and because of their closeness previously she wants some perspective on issues that may be impacting her current relationship..
what if she has family problems, and there are issues that she can not confide in anyone and its somthing that he knows aout based on previous discussions
what if its to bounce ideas about career/education
what if it is something as simple as she is getting hitched with someone who has some connection to Rockistan and she just wants to ask him to be discreet about their past.
Fact of the matter is that the only intelligent answer here would be that he finds out what this is about, and then make a decision. But of course, typical lynch mob mentality in this thread has already passed a verdict without bothering to ask the obvious, why does she want to meet.
