So people have this online persona…so to say…a reputation of their online personality…
some don’t give a **** about it…others i see are too ‘cautious’ with their reputations…and always up to explanations n being politically correct and whatnot..
important enough to not say too much that is personal ... honestly i dont understand it when people write uber personal stuff. sometimes i feel like saying my stuff out ... but i just dont cuz internet is not the place ... i say some itty bitty things ... but i dont try to political correct either ... which a massive percentage does.
my online personality is how my "real" personality is too. don't really see myself as being politically correct here, i say whatever's on ma mind, if people judge it in a negative way, i did used to take it personally before but now i don't care. i wouldn't hurt anybody in the nonvirtual world either......
Their is not much difference left in virtual and real life.
Hence it’s very important to take care of e-reputation, well you made me think .. i have to change my gupshup persona to normal, it’s been time. People are labeling me with drinker, drug addict, womanizer …and etc..etc..
My online personality is bubblier and more outspoken than I am in real life. You’re just more “sher” when posting online from behind your computer screens.
As for e-rep, it should matter to every member of the mod team since they’re representing GS administration. Reminds me of one of my principals - every time we had a school tour somewhere, she used to warn us to behave since we were wearing school uniforms and the reputation of the school was in our hands.
Outside of the mod team, I would be the same though. I wouldn’t be scared to blurt out my views but, at the same time, I’d like there to be mutual respect between other members and I.
