Your dream house..

What would be a house/Apt./Condo.. you dream of?

Amenities, facilities, size etc…

Off course a dream ‘home’ would be where you have happy people living. Not talking about that.

Re: Your dream house..

For a dream house sky is the limit;)

Your dream house..

^seriously!

I was going to post a couple of pics but couldn’t choose my favorite ones! I have a whole board on pinterest devoted to my ‘dream house’. :hehe:

Re: Your dream house..

Long- term Treasury bond yields have been creeping up.

Re: Your dream house..

I am happy with my current one .. just want to add few other amenities..

  1. wine cellar
  2. man cave
  3. complete gym

Re: Your dream house..

We have just finished renovating our house. Took good 8 months as we have changed everything. Been very hard work but well worth it MashAllah. Its my dream home now… just one thing we left this time… the basement. We would like to convert it into s studio flat with its own access from outside since its really big basement or convert it into a bed room…my hubby would like to convert it into a gym and cinema so let see. this is long term dream… currently we are using it for storage

My dream house always had a bit kitchen and separate dining area, which we have now built. Allah k shukar hai…all went well

Re: Your dream house..

~a home with IKEA stuff…hehe
~it’s a tree trunk house actually, not huge but cozy
~every room is sound proof with wow-bathrooms with a supply of water at any temperature
~and oh-oh a fire-place..a real one!
~at home-bakery,an international chef who’d cook me any thing i’d want
~it’s still hi-tech okay with all the normal stuff we have at homes,a cinema room won’t do no harm
~wardrobes are full of stuff i want and a self fixing mechanism,i don’t have to bother about messing up stuff.Or may be plenty of maids who’d do stuff with out me telling to do so,they read minds(only the orders of course)
~a magical beautiful garden with a pond,i have my evening tea there with cakes and goodies from my bakery ofcourse, the cat cuddling next to me(yes a cat who obeys?)
~a garage with my favourite cars
~i want a spiral staircase too.
Have a look!

Re: Your dream house..

i am officially crazy now

Re: Your dream house..

Sky?

Does this mean no ceiling and no ceiling fan? Natural open air?

I know what you mean by the way.

People do say Wedding ceremony and House may not have any limit to what is spent.

OR

“Jitna GuR Daalo, Utna meetha”

But everyone has a different concept of a house where that person feels happy to live in.

Different themes, plan and wishes for different people.

Re: Your dream house..

^Love the bedroom…cozy and surrounded by my books.

Re: Your dream house..

I’ll be afraid to even move in this bed when sleeping.

What if the bed shakes and all books fall over me? :frowning:

JK :DLove the idea of having access to books in sleepless nights.

Re: Your dream house..

The sky’s the limit. But a home with a bigggg lawn and plants and swings…

Re: Your dream house..

I’d like a house that has a fun/warm feel to it. Totally quirky and cute…full of memories. Modern is pretty but I love porches, tire swings, tree houses, etc more. It should be just big enough…not too big though where people have trouble hearing each other yell across the house.

Re: Your dream house..

NO books in a bedroom please. OUCH. What are study rooms for? :vivo: Bedroom should be something more cozy, comfortable and dreamlike. Sleep with the BOOKS is the last thing I would want on earth!

Re: Your dream house..

Dream homes are mostly a mirage.

Re: Your dream house..

books are the best thing for me in bedrooms, they make me soooooo sleepy, just by looking at them…Zzzzzzz

Re: Your dream house..

Barn conversion, in the countryside or a huge Victorian house in central London with a swimming pool in the basement.

Re: Your dream house..

^Same.. I’d love a barn conversion..

Saw a few with my parents but they can’t understand why I’d want to live in something ‘so ugly’ :smack:

Re: Your dream house..

^ I think barn conversions are awesome…best thing about watching Escape To The Country!

Re: Your dream house..

Swimming pool…and covered in backyard or basement? Yes… I agree, must have…if at all possible.

Outdoor swimming pool is great as well for someone who is living at a very hot place majority of time year around, otherwise that may not work as good

Hot tub is just added feature, good for overall body relaxation.

If a pool or hot tub is desired, those can be of saltwater which does not burn the eyes or bleach the clothes (different equipments required) and if the pool has chlorine, then exhaust must be of good quality.

Anyhow, the water activity can make the person feel happy and healthy. And that is great.
