**at 21 I was in no position to care for a baby… secondly if I put myself in that position …if i had had a baby out of wedlock at 21 and kept it…i would be regretting my decision right now at 26,…because I want a life partner from my culture and religion at this age …though at 21 i used to feel like marriage is a useless institution and i shud just adopt a baby and forget the guy thing…I dont think like that anymore…
human beings are very dynamic even if my daughter wants to keep her baby, she would probably be making an emotional decision…her life wouldnt be ruined I agree but it would be rough…(a) its not easy task raising a child as a single mom (b) like i said before at 21 i was in no position to raise a kid (c) if she wants marriage at a later date…and she has a baby in her godhi…tell me it would be easy for her to find a good muslim mate? probably not… (d)if she keeps the baby what kinda future does the baby have in our community …tomorrow when the kid is old enough to get married how many desis/muslims wud be willing to give him their daughter or willing to accept her as their bahu? …Yeah im thinking way far out in the future but when u make decisions like this u have to consider everything
yeah so u can call me selfish or immoral but thats what i will do
having said that im also a firm believer in istakhaara so i wud do an istakhara in this situation and if the istakhaara came out that we gotta keep the baby I will otherwise im doing what i said above
