Your daily routines and Ramada fasting

So what changes do you bring about in your daily schedules to accommodate Ramadan? Work, sleep, extra prayers, being a helper monkey to chef de partie in kitchen etc. Specially places in northern hemisphere with longer days, shorter nights and summer temperatures kicking in.

Till last year I was facing 20+ hours of fasting where by evening you’re walking like half dead zombie. Now with less than 12 hours fasting time and nippy weather, I feel I can fast twice a day :smokin: nope wrong one →

20+ hours of fasting… where was it?

This year I have been trying to be a bit of help but my mother has already done her Ramadan preparation so I am not getting much of a chance.

So the only change this Ramzan to my pre-ramzan daily sleep-schedule has been more sleep :ouch:

And reading more Quran than usual off course. I had plans previously to read tarawih prayers at home but could not. I think it is reading complete Quran in prayers? Someone told me how it’s done but have forgotten.

What about you? What are you doing with extra hours after less than 12 hours of fasting? :@:

20+ not a good idea! Ismali muslims are better - they fast on 12 hours whenever Ramazan come!

Ramis did you migrate for the sake of 12 hours fasting to down under?

O man thats a biggie always in Ramadhan. The schedule get soo messed up. I really struggle with managing my time. Though logically when I think it should never be the case. While we are practicing discipline spritiually how can we go out of it in daily life?! Something we are doing wrong I guess.

anyhow, the biggest problem comes with the sleep specially these days with 12+ hours roza. Sleep only comes in chunks. First 3 hours between midnight ot sehri, then a couple of hours after sehri. And then what I try is to sleep after coming from work so thats another couple of hours.
Which means no workout.

Also I try to do taraweeh so from iftar to midnight, where does the time go, just no idea.

The last post implies that long hour fasting is not indeed any Ibadat!

LOL.. always looking for window of opportunity? Only if you put down your anti-religion glasses you would understand I meant there is something we can do better to manage our day as per the time delegation is concerned. So its more of a management issue then the “ibadah” issue lol.
I’ve cousins who are way better than me and do things like workout etc including the daily ibadah. Better luck next time
