Your Crush's Wedding

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

what if it were the other way around....the person getting married had feelings for you some time in the past and you (as the guest) knew it...

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

Then inform the qazi ASAP so he can make the switch

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

sara516, touche!

uh, i can't say that's been a problem for me unfortunately, as most of the men I find amazing, usually find me annoying. :D

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

I'd go to set up chairs and distribute Pepsi bottles among the guests:(

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

i had to attend my crush's (maybe he was more then just a crush) wedding..... it was awkward!!...... there were two weddings.... his and his brother's. his brother's wife is my friend. two families are our family friends. it was really hard to hold bak........ but i did it with a strong smile. prayed alot before his wedding to get courage to go through it........ even attended his mehndi!! ....... was supposed to be family photographer of my friend's family. i couldnt take pics of him!!!
its like there is a lump in ur throat!!!...... ready to vomit out!!! u have to hold it bak with a smile.

if i would have a choice....... i might have gone..... especially to see his wife!!

U had answered Sara's question earlier, PCG. :)

You said that you wouldn't want to prevent someone from enjoying their wedding.

And I agree with that. Hopefully the person who used to have a crush on you......has completely gotten over you..........and is sincerely happy with their current partner. In such a situation, it's okay to attend the wedding.

Although, if you have doubts that the person is still pining over you (and you can't always know if they are or aren't)...............then it's best to skip the wedding (if you can)........and just send a congratulatory card later. That way they can enjoy their wedding and not be haunted by your face in the crowd.

Although........sometimes a crush might be offended that you came......and equally offended that you didn't. So, I guess I would try to do (in my power) what I feel would make the situation less awkward for the individual and myself.

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

^It also depends on the person what kind of grudge they hold against each other.

:omg:

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

heck NO!!!

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

I might attend for fun only if my friend were going to be there. I would use it as an excuse to dress up, hang out, take pictures and just make a fun evening out of it. I doubt it would be at all about my ex.

If I had feelings, I dont think I would go.

However, sometimes you find comfort knowing you faced a situation regarding your ex in a composed manner. Even if you are crying inside...your face should show nothing. :)

Re: Your Crush’s Wedding

^ Actually, that is a really good perspective to this.. Okay, I might consider going afterall :hmmm:

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

Totally depends on menu and crowd :p

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

well for my first crush, it was way more than crush i know, I made sure that i was not in the country when that happened!

the one's who had crush on me.. all came, except the one who revealed her affection and was married, though i went to her wedding.

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

I would not go to my crushes wedding.

From the outside I might look like I am holding up a strong smile, but inside I could definitely imagine myself ripping off the brides hair :(

Re: Your Crush's Wedding

If I stop going to old crush's weddings, I will not be able to attend 90% of the family/friends weddings ;)
