^ Whatever works for you. I'd use the excuse for work if I was in such a situation.
I just mentioned the card idea for those are are extra conscientious about how they will be viewed.
In a wedding, where there is soooo much going on........I doubt the crush bride/groom would even have the time to wonder whether or not you showed up.
Plus..........I've noticed............that with people whom you KNOW are not crazy about you.........they won't really talk to you even if you did show up. If they do get "pissed".....it's because they need something to "talk" about that makes you look bad.
As I said earlier............sometimes your presence will wag just as many tongues as your absence, lol. ** Do what you know is best for you. **
^ As you said.........people love to talk........will always talk......and will shrivel up and melt........if they dare to mind their own business. Don't care about em. :P
