^^ I dont think things work that way in hinduism. Unlike quran which is considered a book from god, in hinduism there is no such thing. so believing in things on the basis of verses doesnt exist.

I have never seen someone quoting a verse from religious book to prove a point.

As I said before, Sanatana Dharma is not a fixed curriculum. It is not like, you have one book, read it, by heart it, and quote it. Life has never been so very straight forward…so isn’t the study of dharma. People spend their entire lives to learn just the gist of the vedas, upanishads, and the puranas. If you would like to read more, the references I quoted are enough to keep you occupied for the next 5 years at least

I am not a vedic scholar, though I do come from a family of pundits. However I shall do a little more research for you to get you the best of the references that I can in a few days.
