Daily: Dishes, cleaning the kitchen after use (that includes wiping down the cupboard doors, backsplash and cleaning the kitchen sink all with anti-bacterial spray). The sink in the bathroom and the bathtub and tiles are wiped down after each use. Floors are swept as required, probably 2-3 times a week. Rubbish is also taken out 2-3 times a week.
Weekly: Vacuum/sweep the whole house, mop and dust each room, clean the cooker top, properly clean the bathroom with a detergent. Laundry, polish all mirrors/glass doors on wardrobe, empty bins in other rooms. Properly clean kitchen with a stronger detergent, wipe down fridge and freezer, re-organise and clean fridge.
Fortnightly: Change the bed sheets.
Deep clean (ideally monthly but usually bi-monthly): Oven and extractor hood. Steam clean floors and walls, re-wax leather sofas, clean behind sofas, underneath rugs any other diffucult to reach noon and cranny.
I also regularly re-organise cupboards and wordrobes throughout the house, I probably do a different one each week.
Tiger too late a confession :hinna: … I felt so guilty after reading your post , that I went downstairs , cleaned the kitchen top to bottom, and the dining area and the washrooms and mopped em all with a passion :hinna:
If you had made this confession earlier , I would have waited until hubby returns from work and gotten him to do the bathrooms after iftar
I’m not lazy, I just don’t have the time… since I work full-time five days a week, and on weekdays there’s too much to do… I prefer giving the rest of my day to daughter and hubby, instead of the house. MY husband doesn’t care much either, so we are relaxed about it all. Especially ever since I got pregnant :).
On weekends, I’ll sweep, mop and vacuum, etc. Sometimes I just sweep and mop/vacuum only once in 2 weeks, we don’t have much carpet anyways. Kitchen and bathroom sinks wipe-down occurs more often though, I try to do it with daily use, so my stove and sinks stay cleaner than the rest of the house
Oops sorry CB! We both work full time, so have to pitch in and are both equally OCD about it. But at least you know for next time - get him to do it :D
I don't leave the house in the morning until all my dishes are done in the sink and I have cleaned the stove.. I love cleaning kitchen and no I don't like cooking,, so sad :-(
Weekly: vaccuum, bleach cleaning of bathroom, kitchen, and floors, change bed spreads, and lysol our place!
Laundry.. every two weeks or whenever husband feels like doing it!!
I organize my kitchen cabinets or closets like once a year :D
