We get a lot of threads on GS about clothes/make up/hair for the wedding, but we rarely get to hear about the day itself…
…So this thread is for all you married ladies, to ask you what you actually went through/what happened on the wedding day.
For example, one of my best friends was up at 4am on her wedding day to have a bath as she couldn’t sleep! Her actual ceremony didn’t begin until 2pm lol.
So, what did you do the night before, what time did you wake up on the day (if you managed to get any sleep at all that is), did you manage to eat breakfast, did you have your hair and make up done at home, where there any big problems on the day, how was the food & venue etc, did you go to your in laws from the venue, what time did the actual day end etc etc.
^Lol, me too inshallah. I thought it would be nice to hear other girls and guys stories of their wedding day and us future brides could use any tips they had to offer :)
well my day started off pretty good.. I had mehndi the night before that went till 1 am or so..I had mehndi done that night so came home and went to bed afterwards and woke up pretty early.. My shaadi was around 6 pm so i took bath around noonish.. had my makeup and hair done around 2:00 and my husband came over for pictures at my house around 5:00 ish.. the only bad thing that happened that day was it was raining awfully and it put some stuff behind schedule.. Overall the last few hours as I started getting ready just flew by soo fast.. The only thing I regret is that i should have been a bit more organized as far as my time since in my head I had thought everything would be on schedule..
