I find Younis to be painfully mediocre. The guy has played 96 matches and has been on the team for almost 4 years. (when he first started Aamer Sohail was still on the team!). In all that time he has never scored a century. As a comparison in just a handfull of matches over a few months, Yassir Hameed has scored 116.
Younis plays consistantly as a middle order batsman there really is no excuse.....

you cant compare someone who bats at #5 mainly to someone who bats as an opener or at #3.. Someone who bats at #5 doesnt get to bat as long to make 100s.. Younis Khan has 19 50s in 96 matches, which aint too bad... for examply, Salim Elahi has scored 4 centuries, while Razzaq has only 1, you cant compare Razzaq to Elahi just cuz Razzaq doesnt bat long enough to score 100, his only 100 came when he batted at one down.. Anyways, my point is that Younis Khan is still better than Elahi or Misbah or Faisal Iqbal or etc for #5 slot, as he can bat both agressively and defensively.. If you saw him bat against Warne and Muralitharan, he batted quite confidently..

^ I guess I never really considered the aspect of how long he gets to bat. But his Test scores should have been higher then one would think.
I guess for now he is the best option since there are'nt a lot of good middle order batsmen available, but he will be under a lot of pressure after the A Team plays in India, whoever preforms there in the middle order will likely be given a chance with the National Team I would think.
