Just a general question:
How would you feel if your younger siblings earn more than you?Would you feel jealous or would you feel happy about it?
PS - I was not sure where to open this thread, so i have opened it on this section.

when u r younger u feel happy but sometimes some people get uneasy when they grow older and feel that they can NOT provide to their children as best as their siblings who make more and hence provide more. well, i am NOT there yet. i am the youngest so i dunno from my experience.

Awww. I am sure most would be happy for their sibling and not jealous. BUT the thought may cross their mind once a while even if they don't want to think about it but the society will make them think about it no matter what. It's normal to feel uncomfortable if you are surrounded by stupid questions regarding this by society. But i am sure MOST wouldnt feel jealous or unhappy.

Happy... because that means better presents for me.
On a serious note - I would feel proud. I expect my younger siblings to be more successful than me. Learn from my experiences, mistakes and soar iA.

I AM happy for them. We have different professions and different life paths. It would be idiotic to feel jealous.

If the siblings share a strong family bond then it would never be a big deal. But if they come from a dysfunctional family that can create headaches and nightmares for the one who is weaker financially.

This wouldn't bother me at all, infact I would be more than happy for them. I pray for them to be successful, just as I do myself. It does get a little depresesing though, when I am still at university getting into more and more debt whilst they are working and earning!
