So its ok to be in a relationship, to “go out”, to start seeing boys when you’re like 17 or even younger… but marriage? how dare you!

About the delivery bit… the 13 year old boy who impregnated the 15 year old girl in Britain received more “Awww’s” than a 19 yr old married muslim girl would have received for having a baby.

My mother had me young. She doesn’t feel as though her life was taken away. She had other dreams, besides an education. It was her choice. My mom always says, that she never knew her mother young, cuz she had her as an older woman. I always knew my mom as young, and I’m happy for that.

I made different choices in my life. Im in med school now. achieved much more then my mom did. But I sometimes do wonder how complacent my life would have been if I gotten married young and had kids instead and been a housewife like my mom, instead of still being in school- worried about yet another exam . yeah, I look at people liek that, and think how stress free they are. how complacent their life is. Not to be ungrateful, alhumdullilah, im happy were im at, and know that im blessed, and happy that i will inshallah achieve my goals…but sometimes i wonder…

Maybe it’s just that the other side of fence is always greener. who knows.

Things were alot different back in the day hun, Women didnt have a choice back then, However they do these days, Like my dad always says to me your so lucky to live here why dont you take advantage of the education oppurtunities and hes so right! I can have a baby when im 24-25 inshallah no problem thats not old at all. I will still be young, My mum was 30 when she had me and now im 20 shes 50 and we have a good relationship!
