The primary issue they say is to express solidarity with the patients. The doctors claim that the patients are not provided with any medication, and are always told to go buy it themselves from the open market…even petty items like syringes, drips, injections, and other normal stuff that the hospital is supposed to stock.
The patients seem to agree with them, and have turned out in large numbers.
Secondly, I guess, though it hasnt been highlighted in this strike so far, is the issue of a new service structure contract, which the doctors have been asking for.
