What kind of ishq is this? They are killing each other, burning other’s property. These people are violating so many other things in their daily life, and just because of fazool film, they are damaging properties of their own country. It is not love, they all are hypocrite.

Re: Youm e Ishq e Rasool Today
So far the results of these “Peaceful”
protests are:
Come on Pakistanis…you can do better than that.
Re: Youm e Ishq e Rasool Today
So you again started generalising Pakistani. Can’t you ascertain the fact there are more Pakistani detesting violence than those who are involved in such violent protests?

I would if this violence was not sponsored by the Pakistani Government which is democratically elected.
They are the ones who put forth this bone headed idea of a Day of Peaceful Protests
Do they all have IQ's in single digits and did not realize how these protests would easily de-evolve into violent riots?
Are they really this stupid?
Re: Youm e Ishq e Rasool Today
It looks like there are fools sitting in government with PM leading the pack. He called for a day off to have 'peaceful' demonstrations. He asked for peaceful demonstrations even though he knew very well how much violence the country was enduring since one whole week ALREADY. Now giving such violent freaks such an open opportunity is the height of stupidity.
How could the government even expect this holiday to pass peacefully?
Up until none I was just lamenting a few extremists who were bringing bad name to Muslims. But now I am horrified to see even our government to follow on their footsteps.
Once again the PPP government gave in to the extremism. First it was Bhutto who tried to appease these freaks in order to hold to power. And now this Raja Pervaiz who actually declared a senseless holiday.
There are tens of Islamic countries in the world. How many declared such a holiday? Are they less of the Muslims than us?
This holiday and violence which resulted from it has made Pakistan a laughing stock in front of the world.

Pakistani Governmnet didn't ask from all Pakistanis before going for such announcement. So one should refrain from generalising Pakistanis as violent
Re: Youm e Ishq e Rasool Today
thanks to ALLAH that my city people did not go for looting banks or burning police vans. they showed some peaceful protest.
Re: Youm e Ishq e Rasool Today
As far as I know, apart for some attacks on diplomatic missions in North Africa (like Egypt and Libya, and I dont condone that too) the protests were over all peaceful. The protests in Pakistan are poles apart, I dont understand the correlation between blasphemy carried out by some American and the destruction of public and private properties of Pakistanis. This kind of protest does not fulfill its objective, but on the other hand makes Pakistan a laughing stock of the world.

There is no correlation. This violence was not against the movie but against Pakistan and anything they consider unislamic. Look at their targets. Banks, cinemas, American restaurants and insurance companies.
Re: Youm e Ishq e Rasool Today
When you don't have blessings of Allah, that's what you get. This shows that there is a curse of Allah upon muslims, because they have forgotten the true teachings and spirit of Islam unfortunately.
