Yes yes i know i have a bad habit of surfacing forgotten threads and articles but its always fun to view things in contrast. That was March and now is December. What difference nine months can make!
Do read this article and laugh at the irony. Not one single thing he has said in the article makes sense or holds true. Whats even funnier is that it sounds just like one of those satirical news clippings by GreenAadmi.
This article is from before he changed his name. And his name back when was Yousuf Youhana.
The point of this thread was to view in ironic contrast Aamir Shoail's predictions with whats really happening today, although it seems Sarcasm 101 was the course you flunked at school.
There have been many strange decisions in Pakistan cricket and this is just another one.
So what is the strangest decision of them all?
The appointment of Bob Woolmer as coach is probably the strangest of them all. Simply because if you look at the Pakistan team, tell me how many of them can speak and understand English? Leaving aside one or two players, the rest of the team is not comfortable with the language.
How do you expect someone who does not understand their language or their culture to be a success as coach. Woolmer has been exposed as a coach. He is nothing.
a recent article in dailytimes said the following about aamir sohail: The expert who tried one’s patience was Aamir Sohail. He did not hesitate to castigate Shahryar Khan’s policies in the hope that Pakistan would not do well in the series and was particularly critical of Shahryar not being in favour of an annual change (cricket!) with India. He was quite happy to slaughter the goose that lays the golden egg in the hope regular exchanges would solve many problems that beset the two neighbours. Here Sohail is treading on egg shells and dabbling in issues that are way beyond his feeble intellect. I will conclude by going on record that Aamir as chief selector devalued the national cap by gifting it to many undeserving, including the chucker Junaid Zia, son of his benefactor Tauqir Zia. I am pretty sure that the best way to take this man is with a pinch of salt — as the good book says: “the loudest voice is the voice of a donkey.”
among his donkey like statements include blasting younis khans appointment as vc b4 india series, we all saw what happen, he called afridi a 4yr old kid b4 that series we saw wat happened! sow after Mohammad yousuf scored this excellent knock he said yousuf should b next captain!!! I agree with this dailytimes article and the donkey like reference to sohail!
well.... amir sohail - too much critics.
i think inzi has matured as captain by match by match and series by series...
and younus khan is better thinker of the game than MOHAMMAD YOUSUF.
Thats the funniest of the quote… The actual culprit is the one who went over to interview him… not the Aamir suhail… We know how he use to get out when the team most needed him… so there is nothing new from him…
i gotta see that… Kisi k paas hou to plz rapidshare it…
in the recent past, whatever he has said … us ka opposite hi hota hai… So, hopefully he is predicting Eng to win the ODI series and Sami to play all one dayers
