We pick up any tech newspaper or magazine, we hear anything about smart phones etc, all we hear is iPhone. Even here on GS. But in the bigger scheme of things how big is iPhone’s realm. See for yourself

off course all the famous / most visited web sites on the internet are american based. so no wonder everybody thinks that.
also nokia, android market share has been rising, iphones share has been declining ( in usa, as android is gaining ).
but Apple takes much more money home per phone then any other phone company out there. They are making a killing.

Its all about the buzz. There’s also a claim that iPads are killing the netbook market. Its actually just made a small dent.

nokia’s share of the market is so huge because they produce very very cheap mobiles for countries like pakistan and india etc.. and Nokia has been producing commercial and some military mobile radio communications technology since the 1960s, so it has all that time to build up its reputation. but if you look at the iphone, its expensive but still doing well. i personally have been buying phones since the days when BT Cellnet and nokia 402 was the craze and the first wap phones lol and the best ever phone i’ve had is the iphone 4…

… no no we don’t buy all apple stuff. only those which are resonable. I did make mistake of buy ipad. but now my dad buy hp laptop instead of wasting money on macbook.
Mac pro is cheaper then its rival HP workstation so i buy mac pro. Otherwise i love to have macbook pro but it do not deserve that much money for that much specs specially usb3 is missing . I know Light peak (10Gbs) is coming to mac but when ??? i don’t know

Chart is little misleading at least in the context of this thread as it talks about global mobile phone market, not just smart phone market. In USA smartphone market, Iphone is still ahead of android. Even in global market, its ahead of HTC.
