I think the vast majority of Muslims shares the opinion that lotteries are Haraam and therefore their proceeds are too. No argument there.

**What about Game Shows like “Who wants to be a Millionaire?” though? You don’t really buy a lottery ticket to participate in them. So would those be **ok?

this is a good question .. I had heard about game shows like Deal or no Deal are a big no no , coz they are more like gambling ..

But in shows where you win money based on your knowledge .. is that money halal… thats something I would really like to find out more about ..
