I prefer writing letters in my own handwriting
and then posting them - via regular mail
I lick my own stamps too - posting putting them on the envelope :yummy:

I messages are messages, in which you states how you feel.

you begin by saying

I feel...
when ...
because...
and I would like ...

the idea is to be able to converse with whoever you want to establish a good relationship by way of using the I message.

when we refer to others as 'You...' more often, and begin our sentences like so, we make the delibrate error of implying that we are looking down on someone who we are speaking to.

try completing the sentence as

I feel that you are not listening to me, when you look away, because that says I am annoying you, and I would like you to know that I am not annoying you.

makes sense?
