A muslim lady at the mall said that i looked muslim, she said i have those features and asked whether i was really and then just left…I was not wearing traditional desi clothes, simple jeans and a top, there are quite a few desis(pakistanis, bangladeshis, indians) where i live

but more importantly what does looking muslim mean?

It might be that this woman associates certain “features” with being Muslim (ie. someone *looks" Pakistani…or someone looks Arab etc). So “you looks Muslim” may have been her way of saying you have features of a ethnicity that’s primarily Muslim. I can see what she was trying to say…she just worded it really weird.
